Bill Gates calls Apple a "super-small makert share guy" as Microsoft Windows worm becomes "epidemic"

04May05

Bill Gates while in annual meeting of the Society of American Business Editors and Writers calls Apple “the super-small market share guy,” and further adds “You can always tell if you’re working on a Mac or a PC. Just take your applications and stick them in there and see if they run.”MDN

The comment was made while the latest worm to hit Windows, Sober.P, has taken two-thirds of virus traffic on the internet. The latest Sober worm is spreading fast and might just become one of the worst viruses of 2005. MDN says, “Macintosh unaffected. For our Windows-only friends, there really is a better way…”

Added:
“I don’t think it’s going to be a blockbuster.” So goes one of the comments made about Longhorn during its demonstration last week. The story predicts that by 2008, only 36% of PCs will be running Longhorn while 56% will still use Windows XP. MDN
